The Scoop for June 1-5--Happy Last Week of School!


“Spakausky’s Scoop”
June 1-5

YEARBOOKS:
Yearbooks will be handed out to students on June 5th. Any students who did not purchase a yearbook may do so on a first-come-first-serve basis on June 5th; they will go on sale after morning announcements.
The cost will be $10.00 and children wishing to purchase should have exact amount. Checks can be made out to Prairieview.
There is a limited supply. Prairieview yearbook orders were not paid for at registration.
A flyer was sent out on November 13, 2008 and orders were due by Monday, December 1, 2008.

3rd Grade Bowling: Monday, 6/1
Students may bring money for the snack bar,
but please note we have the pizza party lunch that day.


Pizza lunch-
Mark your calendars for a classroom pizza lunch on Monday, 6/1.

Chicago Field Trip: Tuesday, 6/2
Your child is invited to bring between $5-10 for ice cream and a souvenir,
on the day of the trip.

Spelling
We are done with spelling for the year!
YEAH!


Writing
Persuasive writing!
We will type some of the papers we wrote.


Reading
Fairy tales continued!


Last day of switching for our LA Block is Friday, 5/29!



Independent Reading Program
The last reading party will be on Thursday, May 28th!

We have discussed:

Short quizzes have been given during this unit.


Math
Ch. 20 test will be a take home test. The students will get the test tomorrow and it is due back on Friday, 5/29. They may use the book and other resources to complete the test.
