The Scoop for 1/26-1/30
















In reading class we put on some short plays!
Here are some pictures from our Readers' Theater today!
The students had fun with this and we will finish on Monday!

Do lice checks on your child throughout the year!

Eve
Each week there will be a student picked to be student of the week. This student will bring in photos, magazine picture, or drawings/descriptions about themselves. The categories that they will cover are:

How the special week works for your child:
Monday-put pictures up
Tuesday-share your board
Wed.-Read a favorite book (practice at home first)

Spelling
Lesson 19 is next!
Work is due Friday and should be in cursive.

English
Unit 5 is on capitalization and punctuation.
Study guides due on Monday, 1/26!

Test -Tuesday, 1/27!

We will finish studying friendly letter writing!

Writing
We will start expository writing!

Independent Reading Program

Reading
Snow Treasure. Ask your child what it is about!
We will quiz after every few chapters!

Science
Chapter 11, Lesson 1 is about volume, physical properties of matter and density (float/sink).
Review this lesson with your child.

Social Studies
Chapter 9-Economy-
The Chapter 9 test - Wed. the 28th!

Math
Chapter 14, on geometry.
Chapter 5-We have focused on money and now time!
